Red Umbrella Éireann is a collective of current and former sex workers campaigning for decriminalisation.

In Ireland, we live and work under the Nordic Model. Under this approach of criminalisation, sex workers suffer from increased policing alongside discrimination in healthcare and housing. We believe sex workers deserve to be able to work safely and free from stigma and discrimination. This is why we campaign for decrim.

Decriminalisation is a first step towards equal rights for sex workers. We believe all people should be protected from poverty and hardship: decrim and anti-poverty measures must be considered simultaneously to protect those of us who are most at risk.

Together and in solidarity with sex worker movements everywhere, we fight for our safety, self-determination, and the resources we need to survive.
